Bio-Reduction® Therapy
Addiction does not mean that it is impossible to stop doing something, it just means that there are powerful urges and needs that have to be overcome in order to do so. The key to stopping any addiction or continued use is to stop the physical cravings.
Does Bio-Reduction® Therapy really work?
Yes. We have treated over 3,200 clients over the last 4 years to either, stop smoking, stop drinking or stop using drugs. Most drinkers require one to three treatment sessions to stop drinking and drug users normally require five days of treatment to stop using drugs, depending on daily usage.
Are your testimonials genuine?
Yes. New Ways Clinic have more client testimonials than any other alcohol/drug treatment centre, including The Priory, Promis or any other treatment facility, some centres do not have any client testimonials. Our genuine and comprehensive customer comments are provided months and even years after treatment and confirm how good Bio-Reduction® Therapy actually is. We have the original copies available which validate this treatment and its results.
Will I have any unpleasant withdrawal symptoms?
No. Clients using Bio-Reduction® Therapy to detox from alcohol or opiate based drugs will not suffer any unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.
Why have I not heard about Bio-Reduction® Therapy?
A lot of people already have as we have treated over 3,200 clients, however if you have only just started looking for the best ways to stop smoking, stop drinking or stop drug use, that would explain why you have just become aware of it. Had you been looking for the last 4 years, you would be aware of New Ways Clinic and our very successful treatments.
Isn't it hard to stop drinking or using drugs?
Yes, everything you have been told about how difficult it can be to stop drinking or drug use is true when using other treatment methods such as willpower, medication, the 12 steps or counselling, as their process is either very long (months & years) or is very unpleasant and painful. However, Bio-Reduction® Therapy continually proves 'in real life' that most of what you have been told does not apply to clients who use Bio-Reduction® Therapy.
What about the mental side?
Many people want to stop drinking or using drugs but their physical urges are much stronger than the mental thought process saying they won't. If you feel as though you want a drink, you will go and get one and if you feel as though you don't want any alcohol, you will not drink. Bio-Reduction® Therapy makes you feel as though you don't want any alcohol or drugs and so it is much easier to stop drinking or using. Mentally, you already want to stop but your physical cravings are too strong to fight and so the cycle of drinking/drug use continues. Bio-Reduction® Therapy stops this cycle allowing the individual to achieve their goal. It is much easier to stop drinking or using drugs when you feel as though you don't want any alcohol or drugs.
I drink and use drugs, do I have to pay twice?
No. We can combine our detox formulas for two substances in a 'dual detox' i.e. alcohol & cocaine, heroin and crack etc, at no extra cost.
What is the current policy for treating addiction?
The focus of 'treatment' for alcohol or drug addiction is based on 'harm reduction' and not stopping addiction. There are no government targets for the number of people who should be substance free per year. Critics argue this policy is 'unethical' and does not provide real hope or treatment to those with addiction problems, too many people have been left in limbo on Anatbuse, Methadone or Subutex maintenance programs rather than seeking to end the problem and stop continued drug or alcohol abuse. As a result of this policy there is no interest in treatments which stop addiction only in treatments which compliment the harm reduction policy. The opposition has declared 'we would abandon Labour's failing policy and replace it with an abstinence-based approach. This will have the objective of actually getting people off drugs or alcohol for good'.
Is Bio-Reduction® Therapy available on the NHS?
Not yet, but the NHS is currently under reform with ministers pledging to increase patient choice in healthcare stating, 'our vision for primary care will protect the highly popular and effective system of registering with a local GP, but give family doctors a stronger role in working with other clinicians, local authorities and other organisations to provide the right services, in the right place and at the right time to meet individual needs'. But there are calls for the treatment commissioning service NICE to be scrapped as its decision making process is too slow. At the moment, the NHS will not adopt treatments until they have an established track record of treatment of between 8 to 10 years, ten years ago hypnotherapy was not available on the NHS but now it is (hypnotherapy has not changed but now the NHS provide this treatment and more recently the rules concerning top-up treatments were changed to allow greater patient choice). We are working to make Bio-Reduction® Therapy available on the NHS but it takes time or change in policy to speed up the process. Please click here to join our petition to make Bio-Reduction® Therapy available much sooner.
What help do the local Primary Care Trust's - PCT's offer?
Very little. A report by the National Audit Office found The Department of Health and NHS organisations are both guilty of passing the buck on responsibility for dealing with addiction problems. The DoH does not provide enough leadership to primary care trusts, meaning local services to tackle addiction are not well-planned. Around a quarter of PCTs have not fully assessed the extent of alcohol/drug problems in their areas, and many cannot even say how much money they are devoting to reducing addiction. The Department of Health has completely handed over the task of addressing substance harm to the primary care trusts. And the trusts have in turn looked to another set of bodies to take the lead in commissioning services but they have failed to do so. Instead, PCTs leave everything to local 'Drug and Alcohol action Teams-DAT' - but these bodies focus mainly on specialist services for people with severe addiction problems, and do nothing to help the millions of ordinary people who are endangering their health through the use of drugs or alcohol.
Have you proven this treatment to the addiction services?
Yes. We successfully detoxed a young father of four in 2006 who had been on heroin and 80mls of methadone a day for the past five years for the 'heads of committee' of a regional Drug & Alcohol team (DAT). Over a 5 day period with their staff monitoring his reduction in methadone each day, he successfully detoxed and stopped using heroin/methadone. The director of the regional DAT is also a doctor and stated 'I was very impressed and intrigued by the treatment you gave one of my patients...' click here to read his full letter, our success was also recorded in their minutes. However at the committee heads meeting the following month the treatment was supported by only 1 member out of 13 and so was not adopted due to a 'conflict of interest' and 'objection' from their current detox facility which has only 13 beds for whole region. Even when presented with a successful out-patient detox option, no action was taken by the DAT to improve drug or alcohol services or reduce costs.
What happens when NHS treatments don't work?
According to leading patient groups, when NHS treatments for addiction don't work (which is in 97% of cases) and the individual still has an alcohol/drug or drug problem, they should be able to request other treatments which are not currently available on the NHS, if the treatment can demonstrate they may have a higher chance of success, this would lead to greater patient choice in their treatment options and much higher success rates overall. Critics point out that when NHS treatments don't work due to the patient not responding to the medication they are often left struggling as the medical profession are reluctant to offer a combined pharmaceutical & complementary approach to their treatment and care.
How does Bio-Reduction® Therapy compare to a residential stay?
Far better. In a residential stay the individual is denied access to alcohol/drugs, as soon as they return to normal life, many people start drinking or using again. With Bio-Reduction® Therapy the individual has the normal access to alcohol/drugs but more importantly, doesn't want them. This is evidence the treatment is working and breaking the old habits, so the individual can stop drinking/using and regain control.
How is Bio-Reduction® Therapy different?
Nearly all treatments available for addiction focus on 'living with the problem', rather than stopping it. The focus of Bio-Reduction® Therapy is based on 'recovery' and not addiction maintenance. Bio-Reduction will stop alcohol/drug use so the individual can stop drinking/using and regain control.
How was Bio-Reduction® Therapy developed?
The basis of Bio-Reduction® Therapy is not new and was developed in Germany in 1977. By using the correct frequencies in the right order it is possible to remove a substance (alcohol or drugs) completely and so stop the body's dependency for it. Over the last 4 years we have treated over 3,200 clients to either, stop smoking, stop drinking or stop using drugs, so the treatment is well established, proven and tested.
How does it work so quickly?
Bio-Reduction® Therapy uses physics instead of chemistry (pharmaceutical drugs) to bring about change and works instantly to neutralise or erase the alcohol/drugs in the body, so the body does not know it has had that substance and hence does not crave/want it any more. Bio-Reduction® Therapy stops the cravings or desire for a substance(s) so the individual feels indifferent towards it and so can stop using it. The key to stopping addiction is to stop the physical need or desire for alcohol or drugs.
How does it work?
Medication (chemistry) targets cells to evoke change in the patients' condition however it is no secret that over 90% of all drugs only work for 30% to 50% of the patients who take them due to their genes which interfere in some way with the medicine. Bio-Reduction® Therapy does not rely on genetics as it targets a specific substance(s) rather than an individual's cells and so produces much higher response rates. It is well established in physics that everything has at its own frequency range including: living creatures, organs, plants and disease even substances like nicotine, alcohol or drugs have their own frequency range. Bio-Reduction® Therapy works similar to how a radio picks up a frequency broadcast from hundreds of miles away, the body picks up the Bio-Reduction frequencies via the main acupuncture points on the wrists (no needles are used during this treatment) to successfully cancel/erase the effects of alcohol/drugs throughout the entire body and stimulate the production of endorphins so withdrawal symptoms are greatly reduced. It is safe, painless and very successful. Click here for further details.
How do I know this treatment will work?
Bio-Reduction® Therapy works for nearly everyone depending upon him or her, actually wanting to stop drinking or drug use and following the treatment program & instructions. This treatment is an intervention to allow the individual to stop using/drinking and regain control, individuals are responsible for their long term success. This treatment is not suitable for people who have mental health issues or are unable to follow simple instructions.
Do drugs workers or doctors know enough about this treatment method?
No. The addiction services policy is only concerned with 'harm reduction' and 'not ending the drug problem' so they usually are quiet negative about their clients attending a detox as they are fearful of losing them. Doctors in the UK are only trained in pharmacology based medicine (chemistry) and know very little about any other forms of treatment. Bio-Reduction® Therapy is based on physics rather than chemistry and therefore most GP's or drug workers are not aware of or understand the principles of destructive interference and how this treatment works to stop dependency nor do they have a sufficient understanding of this treatment, which would allow them to make a critical assessment of it. Critics argue most GP's/drug workers know very little about other forms of treatment and their 'arrogance is often detrimental to their patient's real needs'. Remember, if the addiction services could do anything for you, then you would be off drugs by now.
Are there any scientifically 'proven' treatments for addiction?
No. There is no single or combined treatment method which has been scientifically proven for addiction and we lack the resources to 'scientifically' verify our treatment, therefore the only evidence available to evaluate any treatment method are client's comment (anecdotal evidence), which validate the treatment method and establish if it is suitable for the individual and their needs. As one scholar said, 'clinical data is easily manipulated, true anecdotal evidence is not', please click here for some of our client's comments.
Is it easy to obtain clinical data or medical acceptance?
No. Patient groups suggest ‘detractors of successful non-pharmaceutical treatment are always happy to state ‘there is no scientific evidence from controlled trials' to delay medical acceptance of the treatment however these are the very people who are detrimental to the advancement of patient care. Clinical trials are NOT required if the medical profession chose to adopt a specific treatment or practice, as most medical procedures routinely performed in the practice of medicine have not been clinically trialed either. They continue 'it is well known by the medical profession that only 10 to 20 percent of all procedures currently used in medical practice have been shown to be efficacious by controlled trial. Therefore, 80% to 90% of medical procedures routinely performed are unproven. But when a therapy is widely accepted by the medical profession, no scientific proof of effectiveness is required, and anecdotal evidence is accepted as valid. If an alternative therapy is contested by those physicians, however, they attack by demanding that the therapy in question be subjected to very expensive and time-consuming double-blind, placebo controlled trials, but there no guarantee that once a treatment is proven to be efficacious at control trials it will be adopted anyway, so who would fund such a scenario?. Medicare regulations also exclude the need for scientific proof for treatments that are utilized by a majority of physicians'. They continue, 'clinical trials have no credibility but they are always used as a 'smoke-screen' not to try or to stop other forms of treatment becoming more main stream.
Trials are only required for new treatments to establish their effectiveness and safety however once a treatment is used and it becomes established through its use, then its track record proves its effectiveness and safety, if it is unsuccessful, it will not become an established treatment'.

Is Bio-Reduction® Therapy used by the addiction services?
Not yet, the addiction services have been criticised as being not 'fit for purpose' as they do not use any form of treatment which actually stops dependency. They only use 'replacement' drugs such as Methadone, Subutex, Librium, Antabuse or Naltrexone and employ services like doctor's appointments, medicals and counselling sessions but use nothing which actually stops the problem of dependency or can help stop the addiction problem, as a result they have a success rate of just 3% per annum, Dominic Grieve, the shadow home secretary said 'the Government only seek to manage people's addiction as opposed to ending it' he added 'we would abandon Labour's failing policy and replace it with an abstinence-based approach. This will have the objective of actually getting people off drugs for good'. LibDem health spokesman Norman Lamb said 'The Government is losing the fight against drugs. There needs to be a National Audit Office investigation into the cost effectiveness of £500m for treatment. The current record of failure is disastrous both for those in treatment and the wider community'. Critics also argue ‘the addiction services are in denial and continue with the same failing ‘addiction model' despite clear evidence it doesn't actually work or achieve anything'. A leading doctor and author of 'Doctors, Lies And The Addiction Bureaucracy', Dr Dalrymple explains why: 'addiction services have grown so massively they have developed a survival instinct and are not looking for a cure, in short, the bureaucracy of addiction needs clients far more than clients need the bureaucracy of addiction. As a result, 'a self-serving, self-perpetuating and completely useless alcohol/drug bureaucracy has built up to deal with the problem' which is apparent by their low success rate of just 3%, click here to read his full article and decide for yourself. Sadly, Dr Dalrymple appears to be right, we have contacted every Government department concerned with addiction over the last four years without a reply. With their success rate of just 3% you would expect the most cost effective and best treatment available would be used to tackle the problem however it is not and the question as to ‘why not?' remains one the addiction services need to answer rather than ourselves.
Why has no-one else developed this treatment or something like it?
Because there is no research into stopping addiction, as there is no demand for a cure from the addiction services. The Royal College of Psychiatrists estimates that only ¼ of 1% of the budget to fight drugs misuse is spent on studying 'the effects' of drugs/alcohol use, with no research for a cure. This explains why no treatments to help with addiction have come from this area or is likely to come from this area in the future. U.S. government scientists have only recently acknowledged intravenous vitamin C injections stop cancer cells, something that has been known for the past 30 years and used by alternative medicine practitioners world-wide for last 5 years. Click here for further details.
What are the current treatments for alcohol or drug problems?
It is in the public interest and established by independent monitoring committees that it would be "unethical" to deprive patients of successful treatment but despite this doctors are only allowed to prescribe pharmaceutical drugs which don't work for the majority of patients and also have side-effects and possible further dependency problems or they prescribe Anti-Depressants which simply do not work or help the individual to regain control.
What does any addiction research usually focus on?
Any research into alcohol/drug problems is based on developing more chemical based drug treatments that allow the individual to 'live with the problem', not stop it.
Why do I need to help myself?
Because current 'treatment' methods only help to maintain the problem, not stop it. There is No research into stopping addiction, No interest from current practitioners in the drugs field for any type of treatment that helps with addiction and any non-pharmaceutical treatments are blocked from being used, so it's clear the only way get the treatment you want and need is to use private health care.
Is it safe?
Yes, we have carried out over 6,000 individual treatment sessions to either stop smoking, drinking or using drugs, so the treatment process is well established and proven. It is safe, painless and very successful. Bio-Reduction® Therapy uses harmless but precise frequencies, which are completely painless and very effective for neutralising drugs or alcohol.
Why are there no serious withdrawals from opiates to worry about?
The treatment is a reduction program which reduces daily drug usage until clean. The amount of substance that is used during the detox program is enough to hold the individual and stop any serious withdrawals from developing. In addition we also provide N.E.T. which is well proven to aid withdrawals, so individual can reduce and stop much easier and faster than before.
Does this treatment imply I will never use drugs again?
No. Bio-Reduction® Therapy stops and breaks the current cycle of drug abuse so the individual can stop using drugs and regain control, which is the hardest part in becoming drug free. Click here for warning signs of relapsing. The responsibility to remain drug free is that of the individual and not a third party.
Will I need any further treatment sessions?
Some people may need a top up session at some time in the future if they relapse. However an annual or bi-annual Bio-Reduction top-up treatment is a small commitment to remain in control and could be viewed as preemptive approach to drug addiction.
Does this treatment imply I will never drink alcohol again?
No. The goal for many of our clients is to stop drinking now so they can gain control over their alcohol use and reintroduce alcohol back into their lifestyle but at much lower levels and under more control. We would not recommend any clients to reintroduce alcohol back into their lifestyle until they can drink
responsibly. The long-term success of any treatment is the responsibility of the individual and not a third party.
What do I do if I can't control my drinking?
If an individual genuinely lacks the ability to manage their alcohol consumption and drink responsibility then they two options, either not to drink at all or have a Bio-Reduction top up treatments to help remain in control of their alcohol use.
What preparation is required?
Very little. Clients continue with their present usage habits until the day of treatment. Please try to avoid caffeine and alcohol (unless for an alcohol detox) for 12 hours before your treatment and 24 hours after each treatment session, it also helps to drink plenty of water (up to 2
litres) to aid the detox process.
How long does the alcohol treatment program take?
For most people one to three days.
How long does the drug detox program take?
For most people five to eight days depending on the amount of drugs used daily. Some people may take longer if they do not follow our advice, do not use their NET machine or take more substance than is actually required, in such cases extra sessions may be required at an additional cost.
Treatment Evaluation
It may become evident through the detox program that the individual is not following the treatment program. This does not happen very often but when it does, further treatments sessions or a break in treatment may be required. Any additional treatment sessions will incur additional costs and a break in treatment will result in lost treatment time. We will try to carry over the sessions if possible.
Will I require any bed-rest after a drug detox?
No. After treatment you will feel fit and well and ready to work, although we recommend clients have a couple of days rest before returning to any physical activity.
